((I vaguely considered doing replies, but ended up doodling instead.))
Meanwhile, another Nue might be seen, smirking lightly to herself. The good thing about being the reserved type is that one doesn’t end up getting caught up in a mess like that.
As you may have noticed, activity’s been low, this is because I have exams soon and I feel it’d be better if I put a pause on rping until they’re done. So, as it says in the title, I’ll be putting this blog on hiatus for a while, or until mid-June to be precise.
Given she spends more of her time not in disguise, I’d have to disagree
Anger seeped from the ghost’s labored breaths, each calculated to seem more human than she could ever hope to be against, fury moving her mouth and the air she took in to create exactly what she desired. Tojiko took one last look at the ancient zone, one last, long, spiteful gaze within the staircase to what became her prison over a millennium, before calling forth a bolt of lightning to strike the roof, collapsing almost instantly the ancient stone entrance to the Mausoleum of Divine Spirits.
She stormed away, angrily bolting treetops and flying animals, the dark clouds overhead an ever present sign of what she had done. This was her afterlife, after all, and it made sense to punish her with many things, from a foolish crushing heart-capture by her enemy, the defeat of herself by that crushed thought, causing her to storm away, forcing her to return when the time was alright, except this time without the object of her unnecessary desires. Tojiko hated the cursed and wrathful gods for this, that she had been given an already desired goal and perverted it, making it even more unattainable.
She hated, mostly, herself, for letting the folly take such control of her without resistance. The one of her favor was an enemy, a grave one, at that, whom had murdered Tojiko far ago, and the ghost had let her slip through her fingers, and become corrupted by destruction and an outright wrongness. Dearly, the ghost hoped that she would not cross paths with her of all people, today. It frustrated her that she must pas through the human village simply to acquire water, and, in this case, to flee for something better.
Dark clouds were something Nue was known to, and, indeed, their sudden appearance had been what attracted her attention. Of course, these didn’t seem the type anyone would care to hide in, given the accompanying lightning in the area. Even so, it seemed unnatural, and despite the apparent danger of being shocked she found herself wandering over regardless; quite a typical display of curiosity outdoing caution for the undefined youkai.
Thanks to the kind of youkai she was, her senses were somewhat better than that of a human’s, and she spotted the angered spirit from a fair distance, watching her bring down the lash of electricity on any unfortunate nearby. It was easy to suppose it would be they who brought about those clouds, and Nue’s interest was piqued, though she was not sure how she might approach without being struck as everything else. She supposed she could either follow, although considering the path Tojiko was taking it seemed likely she was headed to the human village, somewhere that Nue was not terribly welcome. A simple disguise would suffice for that.
Alternatively, she could go ahead herself and await the other further on the path and hope they might bother to pay attention to her as they passed, but the problem with that was that it was perfectly probable she would be disregarded, or that the only attention she was given would be in the form of a bolt of lightning. As such, she decided upon the former idea instead, choosing to allude herself to a plain passerby, leaving the details of the illusion to be set by the interpreter, then walking upon the path herself a short ways behind the ghost.
It was like Nue’s describing someone like those from Heaven. Those who die can only watch the surface. But there was more to describle those who just watch and are neutral. Maybe those who don’t have roles? Who don’t have a purpose? It was possible for those who doesn’t know the path they should take and are neutral.
“They’re stuck between two path to choose from. Is that you? Do you know which path to take? You can’t be neutral forever.”
A person who mind their own business is a neutral person. But if they do mind their own business, then why bother interfering with events? Like the hermit said, once a person take action, they’re not neutral anymore. So it sound like that being neutral is only temporary.
“And what if one were to act in a manner that is correct, then afterwards go back to a state of inaction for a while, then when next they acted it was wrong? Or, indeed, what if rather than acting on right or wrong, they instead acted in whichever manner was most beneficial to them, regardless of what would be the more moral thing to do? There are many who act simply on their own agenda, after all.”
And certainly, why shouldn’t they? If they had the rest of their lives ahead of them, they would have more than enough time to act to correct any wrongs they might commit, and thereby still pass judgement in a more positive manner, if they truly did change their ways in both mind and act.
